Adobe Livecycle Forms

Application forms – whether online or print based – are one of the first points of contact your customers have with your organization, so these forms need to be professional looking and user friendly. But developing these forms can be tedious and often requires a programming background to support dynamic layouts.

The tool of choice is Adobe LiveCycle, a powerful tool for designing and scripting advanced PDF forms for storing user information.

Since 2010, I’ve been developing forms using Adobe LiveCycle for one of the world’s largest banks. During that time I’ve created many advanced, dynamic forms, often requiring extensive Javascript to implement functionality. Some of the features I’ve incorporated into such PDF forms including change tracking, multi-column layouts, and database-like queries based on user selections.
